Spiral & Round Duct

Spiral ducts, also known as spiral or helical round ducts, are an innovative and efficient alternative to traditional round ducts. These ducts are formed by spiraling a continuous strip of metal, creating a rigid and durable structure. The spiral design not only enhances the strength of the ducts but also promotes smooth airflow due to reduced turbulence. Spiral ducts are often fabricated from galvanized steel or aluminum, ensuring longevity and resistance to corrosion. The spiral construction also offers installation flexibility as the ducts can be easily adjusted and can be tailor made to desired length as required on site. Spiral ducts are highly durable and can withstand harsh environments, making them ideal for industrial applications where robustness is crucial.

Spiral ducts present a compelling option as an open ducting solution, enchanting with their exquisite aesthetic appeal. Their captivating appearance eliminates the need for a false ceiling, resulting in significant cost savings and sparing one from the hassles associated with its installation and maintenance. These graceful ducts effortlessly blend functionality with visual allure, offering a practical and visually pleasing alternative. By embracing spiral ducts, one can elevate the ambiance of the space while enjoying the benefits of streamlined ducting without the encumbrance of a false ceiling. Ideal for commercial and industrial and spaces where false ceiling costs add up just to cover up the ducting.

Round ducts are a popular choice in HVAC systems due to their efficient airflow characteristics and versatility. These ducts, as the name suggests, feature a circular cross-section, which facilitates smooth and uninterrupted air movement. Round ducts are commonly used for both supply and return air distribution in commercial, and industrial settings. Their seamless construction eliminates corners and sharp edges, reducing air resistance and minimizing pressure drops. This design ensures optimal airflow performance, leading to enhanced energy efficiency and improved system performance.

Installations

In round duct systems, the ducts feature built-in flanged ends. These flanges are designed with notches or tabs that allow for easy connection and secure coupling. When two duct sections need to be connected, the flanged ends are aligned and brought together. A coupling sleeve or collar is then placed over the flanged ends, encompassing the joint area. The coupling sleeve is secured in place using screws or clamps, ensuring a tight and leak-proof connection between the duct sections.

Spiral duct systems employ a similar approach to interconnect the duct sections. The spiral ducts are manufactured with integral coupling bands or flanges that are formed directly on the ends of the ducts. These coupling bands or flanges align and overlap when two duct sections are brought together. To create a secure connection, a coupling sleeve or clamp is applied over the overlapping area, and fasteners such as screws or bolts are used to tighten the coupling, ensuring a reliable and airtight joint.
